An O-Ring is not included with the Sealcon CD07AA-GY cable gland because it is not always required for every installation. Without the O-Ring, this strain relief fitting has a rating of at least IP54, protected from most dust and splashing water. If the cable gland hex nut is against a smooth surface, it can still reach IP67, but testing may be needed. It is recommended that an O-Ring be used if a rating higher than IP54 is needed, as well as in any washdown or submersive applications.
