For the best strain relief fit, the cable should be as close to the upper range of the gland as possible, to avoid unnecessary gaps between the wire/cable and the insert. Therefore, a 10mm cable would work better with the Sealcon CD16AR-BR reduced insert cable gland rather than the CD16AA-BR with a standard insert. The CD16AR-BR has a range of 7-12mm while the CD16AA-BR is 10-14mm.
