Technically the Sealcon CD16AA-BK cable gland can be used without an O-Ring, provided that it does not need to be dust or liquid tight. Without an O-Ring, the cable gland only has a rating of IP54, indicating protection from most dust and splashes of water from any direction. If the cable gland hex nut has contact with a completely smooth surface, it may be possible to reach IP67, but a test would be recommended to ensure the results.
