If the Red Lion Sixnet SLX-10MG-1 Ethernet switch won't 'talk' to the devices it is connected to, it is most likely a problem with the firmware. First, check the front of the switch and make sure the Status LED is not blinking. If this LED is continuously blinking, then the switch firmware may be corrupt. This LED does blink during start-up, but should be solid green once it's fully on. A blinking status LED means there is no communication being processed.
