The contacts on the Lumberg Automation RKW 40-839/5M 7/8" power cordset are made from gold over silver plated brass (copper-zinc alloy). Brass is ideal for high electrical conductivity due to the copper in its composition. It also resists corrosion because it contains no iron and therefore cannot rust.
