Yes, technically the lid on the Boxco BC-AGP-405020 electrical enclosure can be removed, but it takes some care to make sure the hinge is not broken during the process. Here is a close-up of the hinge:

To completely remove the lid, the hinge pin needs to be pulled out. First, apply a lubricant such as WD-40 to help loosen the hinge. Then, gently tap on the bottom of the hinge pin with a long, thin tool and a hammer to push it out. Once it is partially out of the slot, you can use pliers to pull the pin head out from the other side. Here is a close-up view of the hinge pin:
