The Coxreels 7429-1-5 brake is designed to clamp down on a 3/4" pipe. That refers to the inside diameter of the pipe. The outside diameter would be larger. Usually a schedule 80 3/4" pipe has an outside diameter of 1.05". The inside of the brake is slightly adjustable, and may be able to go up to 1.25"
