The Macromatic THR-13168-35J time delay relay has a 10 Amp SPDT contact. SPDT stands for single pole, double throw, which means there is a Normally Open contact, a Normally Closed contact, and a Common. The Common is where the input current is applied, and the circuit switches back and forth between Normally Open and Normally Closed as the Repeat Cycle is ON or OFF. On this relay, the Common is internally connected to Pin 2 for easier wiring, while Pin 9 is Normally Closed and Pin 8 is Normally Open.
