The Seifert 3050303 thermoelectric cooler is not an air conditioner, nor is it simply a fan. The thermoelectric elements create a temperature difference between the inside and outside heat sinks. Fans are used to pull out the hotter air and disperse it away from the cabinet into the outside environment. Unlike an A/C unit, there is no compressor and no refrigerant. It uses 24V DC power while an A/C unit will use AC power.
