The main thing to remember when retrofitting the Light Efficient Design LED-8236M345D LED high bay light into a metal halide or other fixture is that the ballast must be bypassed during installation. The ballast can also be removed if desired. Once the ballast is removed or bypassed, the lamp can be installed in the fixture. Please see the instruction manual linked below. The LED-8236 follows the same installation process as the lamps mentioned in the manual:
