The Kacon KMB-N80A1 alarm has an IP 40 rating, therefore it is not waterproof and not recommended for use outside. For outdoor use, a rating of IP 65 or higher would be recommended. The Kacon KSP series and the Menics MQVH series both have alarms that are rated IP 65 for dust and moisture protection.
