The Cnlinko LP-20-C05SX-03-402 5 pin male surface mount connector and its corresponding female cable plug (LP-20-J05PE-01-021) are rated IP 67 when connected. IP 67 indicates a total protection from dust and temporary immersion in water (up to 1 meter for up to 30 minutes. So they are waterproof, but cannot be permanently immersed in water. They can work on a boat, but will not work if they are going to constantly be under water. As long as they stay above water, there should not be an issue. It is recommended that you check the specs for both connectors to make sure they will work for your application.
