The G2 and G3 at the end of the part number for the Light Efficient Design LED-7324-35K refers to Generation 2 or Generation 3. Basically, the G3 is an updated version of the G2. The G3 is slightly smaller, has a greater amount of lumens (greater brightness), replaces up to 42 Watt bulbs, has a wider operating temperature range, and is UL listed. It is intended to act as an updated replacement for the G2 models.
