The Boxco BC-AGP-405016 enclosure carries a rating of IP 66/67 and NEMA 4x/6. IP 66/67 indicates a total protection from dust, powerful water jets in any direction, and temporary submersion in water. Temporary submersion would be up to a 1 meter depth for up to 30 minutes. The NEMA 4x/6 indicates that the enclosure is protected from rain, sleet, snow, splashing water, and hose directed water, as well as temporary submersion. In short, this enclosure can be considered waterproof and can be used outside as long as you are not planning to have it underwater continuously.
