If you are referring to the steps in the installation manual to create proper condensation drain pipe connection on the Seifert 42691001 Slimline air conditioner, these steps should not be skipped. The reason the bottom drain plug needs to be removed is so the drain hose can be installed. Otherwise the unit will start to collect water inside. If you remove the bottom drain plug and don't add a drain tube, then water will drip out the bottom
