The Mencom MCTP-V19 crimp tool locator works by pressing the switch on the side that lifts the turret head. Then, attach it to the retaining ring on the CCPZ-MIL hand crimp tool, making sure it is aligned correctly. It is tightened onto the crimp tool using a hex key. The side label shows the correct setting for the locator. Turn the turret head until the correct color lines up with the marker on top. Press the turret head back down. The crimp pin is inserted through the other side. The hand crimp tool is then used to attach the crimp pin to the stripped wire.
