If the light fixture takes a 2-pin plug-in lamp, it has a magnetic ballast. If it takes a 4-pin plug-in lamp, then it has an electronic ballast. The Light Efficient Design LED-7338 series PL retrofit LED lamps are compatible with the electronic ballasts listed in the instruction manual, which is linked below. They will not work with all electronic ballasts, and likewise they may work with a ballast that is not on this list. If your ballast isn't on this list, it is recommended the ballast be tested for compatibility before the light is installed.
