The Boxco BC-ATP-091207 enclosure carries a rating of IP 66/67 and NEMA 4x/6. IP 66/67 indicates a total protection from dust, powerful water jets in any direction, and temporary submersion in water. Temporary submersion would be up to a 1 meter depth for up to 30 minutes. The NEMA 4x/6 indicates that that enclosure is protected from rain, sleet, snow, splashing water, and hose directed water, as well as temporary submersion. In short, this enclosure can be considered waterproof as long as you are not planning to have it underwater continuously.
